Tangled Webs (screenplay excerpt)
INT. UNIVERSITY ART STUDIO (NEW ENGLAND PRESENT DAY) - NIGHT
ECU PAINTBRUSH The first long stroke of midnight-blue paint traces along a light pencil line sketched on a 24x36 canvas.
THE STUDIO: Artist EMILY DUPARTE, 33, is alone in the large shared space. Several art tables, easels and paintings of different subjects and styles at various stages of completion --organized --unorganized --throughout student art stations.
Nearest Emily, paintings of 17th Century European merchant and sailing ships are displayed, and stacked upright on end.

Emily takes a breath, smiles to herself, raises a brow.
EMILY
